Barriers to Communication

Communication bridges the gap between perception and illusion of the people. Communication acts as a Boomerang, once you deliver, it reverts as a reply or response. The lifeless communication becomes an unfruitful one. Converse with an interest and people automatically lend ears to your speech. Communication is not merely delivering the speech. It is an act where both the sender and receiver should actively participate. If either one is not interested then it leads to a reckless situation.

Stages of communication

Communication takes place at three stages that is noticing with all sense at the physical stage, understanding the needs at the intelligence stage and accepting at the emotional stage.

5 Types of Barriers to Communication

  • Physical Barrier
The physical hindrances like interior work space, designs, network facilities and the noise are the barriers to communication.
  • Language Barrier
People from two different states will face the language barrier. Even in English usage of homograph & homophone and usage jargons fails the understanding.
  • Psychological Barrier
Communications are highly influenced by the mental ability of a person. The speech of a person may result thoughtless without the psychological involvement.
